Een loodaccu mag voor een optimale levensduur niet verder ontladen worden dan 50% van de label capaciteit. Het laden moet bovendien altijd in \u00e9\u00e9n keer geschieden tot 100% SOC. Althans, als je de 500 cycli (optimale levensduur) wilt halen. Bij solar is dit lastig als op 75% SOC de zon er niet meer (voldoende) is. Dit verkort de levensduur. Lithium heeft hier in het geheel geen last van; deelladen mag.<br \/>LiFePo4 accu&#8217;s kennen verder een lineaire laadcurve waardoor ze in 2 uur volledig geladen kunnen worden. De laadcurve bij loodaccu&#8217;s vlakt af waardoor er altijd 10-12 uur nodig is.
